Yoga to Anthea is a therapy and she truly believes that it's available to anyone who chooses to embrace it, bringing positive transformations if practiced properly. She places a lot of emphasis on the breath while teaching as it is the single aspect of our being that defines yoga better than any other. The breath functions automatically, yet it’s also under our control. As we concentrate on our breathing, we find that we can strengthen and regulate our entire bodies, breeding transformation on both a physical and spiritual level. Anthea's teaching is underpinned by her own daily asana, pranayama and sitting practice, along with continuing study of yoga philosophy. Her teaching includes pranayama, Ashtanga vinyasa yoga, yin yoga, and Love Food & Yoga workshops and retreats based on Ayurveda and Ashtanga. She runs an annual retreat at Samahita Retreat on the tropical island of Koh Samui in beautiful Thailand, a truly wonderful place to deepen your practice or even to learn yoga from scratch in a peaceful, stunning environment.
